The camera kept falling, we couldn’t get it to turn on at times, and we weren’t really sure what we were doing. Our first hiking vlog was an adventure in itself.
And I loved every minute of it.
Alexa returned from Spain last week and because we were so excited to start our vlog, we decided to hike to Virgin Falls the very next day.
We grabbed our coffee, recorded our first bit of the video (talking in to a camera is a little weird at first!) and made our way toward Sparta, TN.
Once we arrived, we hopped out of the car and immediately started down the trail.
It did not start out strenuous, but it did gradually get harder.
We ran in to several smaller waterfalls on our way.
But since we were trying to get back to Nashville so we could watch the Predators play in the Stanley Cup playoffs, we had to keep pushing on.
By the time we reached Virgin Falls, we were already very hot and tired. The sound of the water hitting the rocks and the cool air coming from the falls made us forget all of that, though, and we ran excitedly to get a glimpse of the water.
It was so much bigger than we were imagining.
Unfortunately, we did not get to spend as much time there as we would have liked. But it was exactly the adventure I was hoping for.
